Need Ideas for Baby Present for New Great Neice
My 18 year old neice had her 1st baby about 1 month ago & we are visiting her for the first time tomorrow & i'm stuck on present ideas for her new daughter.
She says she has enough clothes and essentials covering feeding & bathing etc.
I cant afford more than £50 ish and dont want to buy her something for the sake of it.
Do any new mums have any ideas on pressies after the essentials are bought?
Also, any gift ideas for the new mummy & dadddy would be appreciated
Thanks

The best present I got after having my daughter was food! My mum went and did a weeks worth of shopping for us, and it was a godsend. Failing that, why not just give her the money? I wish people had done that for us. After a few weeks she will probably think of things that she needs/wants for the baby.
What about a really nice soft toy? My grandchidren still ( in their teens some of them!) cherish their first "cuddly".
NO need to spend £50 I would have thought at this stage. Bibs are always useful in a bigger size than newborn as once they start dribbling, taking "dinners", etc you get through loads in a day!
