Although Amazon has many DVD Box Sets from TV series,my brain seems to have gone quite blank when it comes to thinking of them.
Has anyone got any suggestions please?
I am thinking mainly of TV Drama or Comedy etc.
Sets of complete series would be nice.
It's for my wife for Christmas, she has quite a broad range of interest when it comes to TV.

Hi Mr V - why not try Asda's website. They tend to group their boxed sets to make choice a lot easier than most sites
have a look on HMV website for ideas theres loads of good boxed dvd`s all half price or less .

Thanks daffy.
also Thanks MOUCHA,I shall go and have a look now.
It is the categorisation (sp?) on Amazon that makes the brain confused!
Couldn't agree more. I get most of my DVDs from Asda - good service and always free p&p
I'm sure she would like DVDs of "Larkrise to Candleford" (BBC Costume Drama) don't think there's box sets but certainly 2 packs of all the series, Amazon has them in their sale 50% off. I've got 'em all and there's hours of good viewing there. All the BBC costume drama's are worth owning.

She might enjoy Upstairs,Downstairs, Family At War A Horseman Riding By or Flambards. We have got all of those and find we can watch them all agian from time to time.If she likes comedy 'Allo 'Allo, Fawlty Towers or Open All Hours might appeal.

It's an old series now, but my favourite boxed set ever in comedy - and laughed at every single episode - was The Brittas Empire. Just hilarious. Looking at the other answers, my next one doesn't quite fit in here ... but I absolutely loved "The Wire" - No 1 in the Sunday Times last weekend of Best Drama of the last decade; also "The Shield" was brilliant. I always buy mine from play.com. Great service.
