Are £2 scottish 1986 coins still legal tender?

I have two 1986 Scottish £2 coins (commemorative Commonwealth Games). They are the old style single colour coin. My building society won't let me bank them as they are not sure whether they are still legal tender. I think they are - can anyone advise, please?

looks like they are according to the royal mint.
