Why not? It's not the size it's the shape.

well, certain cuts are made for curvy people so shouldn't be made in single figure sizes, else you'll get the thinnest part of the garment against the skin then bulky bits that ther person wouldn't fill, making them look fat and squishy.
quality clothes aren't like that!

clothes of course zac.

Plus a cut thats meant for people with no curves and flat chests make someone with curves and a big chest look even bigger because its going straight down from the chest (which could make your stomach look huge if you have a flat stomach and a large chest) and fills a thin waist in, making you look considerably chunkier.

people are made in various shapes and sizes, and so are clothes. if you have any sense you wear clothes that fit and are flattering, but not everyone is like that. each to their own...

But when theres clothes that a for a certain shape, and they are made in a size that people aren't that shape, you get gormless people in a mad rush to buy something and get it, because they don't know squit about shapes and sizes, so if they only made certain cuts in the size that the personw ill be the right shape for, less gifts would be returned to shops, because more would fit, and when they did, they would be the right shape aswell.
I am sorry but your question smacks of Fashion Fascism.
In other words (you are saying) that larger people should try to look stylish (like thinner) people, and that sylish clothes should only come in smaller sizes, and that larger peoples clothes should not be available in smaller sizes?
If not, your question is badly worded.
If so, then I assume you have a wonderful figure?

Sadly fashion economics does not work like this.Manufacturers make styles in all sizes to enable them to make more profits.

NO! i gave to examples (couldn't think of a name for both cuts) i was saying that people that are dead skinny and have now curves and a flat chest should wear stuff thats straight down. But not wear stuff that has room for a chest because it'll make them look fatter than they are.

Larger people should wear stuff that shows they're curves off which would give them a waist but shouldn't wear straight cut garments ebcause if their chest comes out further than their stomach, it'll make their stomach look huge and fill in any curves of a waist they have.

so garments of certain cuts should only be made for the sizes of people that will wear them because they're flattering.

But they could make a cut for curvier people and a cut that suits flat chested no curves people in the design, so both are happy and both look good.
