what make of bike should i get

i'm female in my fifties about 5ft 3 inches in height i am looking at getting a mountain bike to go to work on.
i want to pay no more than 140 pounds where is best place to go and what size frame should i get.
i want decent handlebars suspension and maybe 18 to 21 gears preferable not black
i have seen one asda are advertising for £70 plus delivery which looks good.
some advice on what to get would be good
i currently have a bike with small wheels which i find dificult to get up small slopes in road.
colour not really that important but would like a paastel colour if possible.also can all mountain bikes have mudguards attached

Tell them you budget, and what you need it for.

You are more likely to come away with something suitable, and with which you will be happy.

I had suggested trying a bike shop, instead of a supermarket.

just thought i would let people know what i bought in the end and its brill.not a mountain bike and completely different to what i was going to get. so glad i listened for once to other people.
i got a black firefox classic ladies bike with 6 gears and whicker basket paid £180.
it is taking a bit of getting use to but its well smart.
i dont like the gears but i suppose i will get the hang of it
