Has anyone else been fined for parking in the wrong place in a Tesco car park?

I think they need to take you to court to enforce this, as they are a private company, running the car park! they are unlikely to do so! it costs them as much as they are charging you, I ignored two letters, which looked very official, but really were not! and didn't hear another word! you are tempted to pay, as the first notice tells you that if you don't pay straight...

why was it not clearly designated?
Eddie that's naughty, I use a family bay if i have my grandchild with me and it is amazing how mant people totally don't get that they will get a parking ticket if they use the wrong bays. The retail park where i work is owned by the local authority and the parking wardens walk round checking the bays, more and more supermarkets are using the private parking warden firms now as a source of revenue.

I suppose EDDIE51 has a disabled badge as well so that he can park on disabled bays, I am disabled and I get do annoyed at how many young healthy people abuse these bays, I have told people on more than one occassion that the disabled bays are for Physically disabled, NOT MENTALLY disabled which they appear to be when they park on these bays. I always say that there are people a lot worse than me even though I am riddled with arthritis, have copd and take morphine for the pain, it is surprising how many times that people who can hardly walk have to park a long way from the doors because somebody has parked on a disabled bay, or a mother with 3 or 4 kids have to walk a long distance because people like EDDIE51 has purchased a £5 car seat from ebay
Toureman just do what they do at the Tesco I live near - ride your bike right up to the entrance. I once found a E-type Jag parked right up to the entrance (not even on the car park). People are always parking in the wrong places! I always drive to the far end so that at least I won't get my car smashed to pieces due to other drivers opening their car doors into mine. The parking bay for bikes at my local Tesco is on the pathway though so cars can't actually park on it. Maybe they should do that with your local Tesco Toureman!
