I've just bought a 4gb micro sd (memory card) for my mobile phone from Argos, got it home and after a lot of faffing found out my mobile only supports up to 2 gb memory cards. I want to take it back and swap it for 2gb, but am unsure if they will do it as they said it was exempt from the 30 day money back guarantee when I bought it. It's not fit for purpose as I can't use it, but then I know it's my own fault for being a div and not checking first.
Anyone got a clue what I can do?!
Cheers

Well techincally it is fit for the purpose, not it's fault you got the wrong one!

I'd still attempt to take it back, explaning and hope you get a nice person on the other side of the desk.

Other than that, not alot you can do i'm afraid.
suffer your loss I'm afraid - you bought the wrong one ARGOS did not sell you thew wring one - nothing to do at all with the 30 day money back guarantee (this is assuming I have read your question correctly and ARGOS did not advise you that the card you bought was the right one)
However, they may exchange it for you as a customer service exercise; you can only ask them.
Not very much you can do if they refuse to entertain your plea.
You should have checked before you bought it,your mistake I am afraid, and as such you bear the cost.
If you have opened the packet then they definately will not take it back as there is no fault with the item, its not in a re-saleable condition and they warned you before hand that you would not be able to return it

However if the memory card suddenly developed a fault and the 4gb card was out of stock, they would offer you an alternative product, you just tell them that you dont want to pay any extra for a bigger card so will settle for a 2gb one and you get the price difference on a gift card!!

Cheeky I no, but it works!
