I pay around 50p but was in a cafe in a seaside town a few weeks ago and they were charging 90p! What a rip-off (didn't buy it!)
Chocolate is quite expensive these days. Im an 80's baby and when I was kid you only paid about 30p/40p for Dairy Milk etc... Now upwards of 60p. Shameful.
2 finger or 4 finger?
47p for a four-finger kitkat in my local Morrison's.
I remember the first thing I ever bought when decimal currency was introduced. It was a Mars bar and it cost 3p
And mcVities Chocolate Caramel Digestives have shrunk.
43 pence at my local shop,or 3 for a £1
Evening all. When I was a child, a Mars bar was humungous - or was it just because I was titchy?
The car dealership where I do some casual work has a coffee bar which is open to the public. Staff eating 'round the other side' (in a more basic canteen area) get discounted prices. We're charged 75p for a KitKat, so it's likely that the public are paying quite a bit more.

The 90p quoted by Monty is about what I'd expect to pay at a railway station.
Who remembers when a standard bar of cadbury's dairy milk cost 6d? it also came in nice squares rather than oblong pieces.
I haven't had a KitKat for time either...
Hmmm...

Sara you got a sweat tooth there ;-) Chocolate went up in price just before the credit crunch quite badly. almost 30%-50% I believe. I remember watching a program about how the British public were spending more on chocolate during the credit crunch than before. They concluded that it was because for the rich price it made people happy most in unhappy times.
I went to Asda yesterday and bought 5 packs of Mars and Snickers for £1.

I stock up, then eat them all. I'm a pig :@)
i got a 4 finger kitkat for 29p last week - Home Bargains. i was the same as you windy, not had a kitkat in years!!

wow, what a difference in prices! im off to home bargains me thinks! just out of interest, how much does a roadside burger van sell em for?
Sara3: I like your style, makes me wonder WHY they put an 'eat by' date on chocolate, mine lasts me as long as it takes to get the wrapping off it. lol.
yuk, give me real chocolate, not chocolate flavoured chocolate, which is what cadburys gets away with!!
