i fancied a kitkat the other day, hadnt had one in years, im more a cadbury fan. i couldnt believe that when i paid for it, it was 60p. thats surely never right! 40, 45p maybe. how much do you pay for yours?
Chocolate is quite expensive these days. Im an 80's baby and when I was kid you only paid about 30p/40p for Dairy Milk etc... Now upwards of 60p. Shameful.
The car dealership where I do some casual work has a coffee bar which is open to the public. Staff eating 'round the other side' (in a more basic canteen area) get discounted prices. We're charged 75p for a KitKat, so it's likely that the public are paying quite a bit more.
The 90p quoted by Monty is about what I'd expect to pay at a railway station.
Sara you got a sweat tooth there ;-) Chocolate went up in price just before the credit crunch quite badly. almost 30%-50% I believe. I remember watching a program about how the British public were spending more on chocolate during the credit crunch than before. They concluded that it was because for the rich price it made people happy most in unhappy times.
Sara3: I like your style, makes me wonder WHY they put an 'eat by' date on chocolate, mine lasts me as long as it takes to get the wrapping off it. lol.
