It's got most of the familiar store names which you'll find in every other shopping centre (and, indeed, on most High Streets), with a reasonably good food court and plenty of other places to eat (but no pub!). I can't see much difference between Lakeside and it's nearest rival, Bluewater; some people prefer Lakeside (which is older) whereas others prefer Bluewater. To me, neither of them are as good as Sheffield's Meadowhall. (Also, if I was shopping for bargains in that part of Essex on a Saturday, I'd much rather visit Romford's excellent market).

Get there very early!
Yes get there VERY early, Parking is FREE but it soon fills up. I love Lakeside I was there on Wednesday (a good day to go) Bluewater is 'posher' more for those who like Designer stuff & its more expensive, Cuppa coffee £2.00. & Lakeside has got a pub, The Riverboat, go to the basement.
Have a good day, you'll love it.

Jem.
