I haven't tried these out yet as I didn't find them till winter was over. But as I took a really bad fall in March I've googled the matter intensely and found that lots of people here in Sweden swear by Devisys which are sold at drug stores over here. I believe they're quite new so maybe they'll make it to your part of the world before long, or you could just phone one of the resellers and ask if they'll send them to you. Before you do, study the size system. And be careful when walking on stone floors/stairs, where cleats can actually make you slip more easily.
