iPhone4

Where's the best place to get the cheapest iPhone4. I heard Martin Lewis said Tesco?
But I'm also wanting it sim free so I can put a PAYG sim in it instead, I know this is going to be really expensive but does anyone know a (non-scam!) website which has iPhones for a good price?
And has anyone ever bought a phone from eBay? Was it ok and not dodgy or anything?
P.S - can you get the iPhone4 on PAYG anyway because on the apple store website you can buy it without a contract it seems?
Sorry for so many questions - just trying to find out about it! Thanks!

No-one will be selling PAYG at reduced prices Apple can't make enough to keep up with demand at the moment. when you consider the cost of the phone you have to take into account running costs (Total Cost of Ownership TCO). Tesco are far from the cheapest. There is a comparison page that showed the UK choices, I'll try to find it and post the URL
The cost comparison URL is http://cid-4b8c4086f7...ices%20and%20TCO.xlsx
When you are checking the TCO you need to set equal time periods, for instance Tesco contracts are based on 12 month contracts, they need to be multiplies by 1.5 to compare with 18 month contracts or by 2 for 24 month contracts

Do be careful if you buy from a non UK web site! I have just paid around £300 for an iphone4 from what purports to be a genuine site shipping unblocked phones from Hong Kong, but the phone has not arrived, the money has been taken off my credit card and I'm rather worried I've been had! Trouble is the web site looked very genuine and convincing.
