I know this might sound silly but maybe try and wash his clothes separately and use none. You can any get stains out before you put them in the machine.

We are so much cleaner now...the chances of his clothes actually being dirty are minimal.
Found that Surcare sensitive was good, and no fabric conditioner at all.
There is a website-- talkexcema.com -- may help on the box.
Whatever you use make sure it's non-biological, dose the minimum amount possible and programme an extra rinse or two. This will minimize the amount of residual detergent in the clothes.
I have echezma and always use fairy non bio- my sisters children have echezma and she uses persil non bio and says thats ok. maybe worth try. As prev posts say make sure it is non bio and maybe try different ones. People react different i think. If it does cause irritation use the rest to just wash your stuff.
Persil non bio did the trick with my daughter.
My husband has allergies (though not eczema) we use Surcare powder or the washballs that need to powder at all, depends on whether it is his clothes only or kids as well - washballs are ok for adult clothes, but I find they don't really cope with the mud etc that two boys get on everything.
