I've just booked tickets for me and my pal - neither of us has been to the live show. Do we have the guts to dress up, and what can we wear that will allow us to go to the pub afterwards without looking like a couple of hookers? ;)

Dress up!! i went some years ago with the wife and we were the only ones not dressed in character. If you don't fancy the full garb, just dress in scrubs or in dinner suits with party hats. I personally would suggest you go the full hog and enjoy the atmosphere.
if you dress up you'll enjoy it so much more - don't forget the water pistols and loo roll...

You could always go as Janet and Brad, or Columbia and Riff Raff?
Yes...and it doesn't matter. Once you've seen the show you won't care what anyone says Karen. Enjoy x

I'll have to look into different costumes - I don't think I could get away with the sussies and stuff ;)
Be a devil x

Is that a dare? ;)
you need to post the photo too

Actually - I've got a maid's costume upstairs, I could go as Magenta :)
Download a copy of the audience participation script before you go, otherwise you are going to wonder why everyone else is shouting at the stage :)

And, yes dress up..... last time I went (years ago during college!) I dressed up as Frank-N-Furter, got a few funny looks walking across town to the show though :)

Oh aye, I'll make it my avatar - not! :D
Definitely dress up! I had a fantastic time when I went. Am still quite amazed in hindsight that our parents let us go but went with a group of friends when we were still at school. It was the 21st Birthday Tour and we went by train, all dressed up, to Birmingham to see it...not a parent in sight, brilliant!

I have an enduring memory of us all doing the Timewarp on Birmingham New Street Station.

Saying that, it was my Dad who got me into it after I discovered his record of the soundtrack from the original show.

Some venues tend to search people for rice and lighters and such though so be careful what you do take in case it gets confiscated.
Yes .. I'd like to see you in that ; )
Agree with Chuck about the audience participation :) The tour is followed by pretty much professional hecklers!

That's the thing, everyone I know who has seen it and dressed up were a lot younger when they did. I might've got away with it 20 years ago...
oh come on - if that photo does you justice you've little to worry about!
Question Author
That''s only from the neck up - everything else is heading south :)
Doesn't matter Karen, you can go as their Mum :o)
Good for you Karen .. Off the M1 at J16.
