Name of warm shirts needed.

I want to get some warm shirts but I don't know what they are called . I have a couple of them
but they are just marked cotton and that's all . They feel like winter pyamas . Can you help with a proper description ?

Brushed cotton sounds like what you are describing.
You can get those check ones, I call 'em Lumberjack shirts they're that texture, but best to go round feeling 'em.
If shopping on line I think they're called 'Cotton Twill'

The pyjama fabric you are thinking of may be winceyette, which is a type of cotton flannel, so I guess you should be looking for flannel shirts (called 'flannies' in Oz according to wiki)

Thanks a lot I now know what to ask for.
I bought my husband 6 of these shirts in different colours from Matalan a couple of years ago, not expensive, wash and wear well, do not always need ironing if hung up whilst almost dry, and very warm
