has anybody actually tried this product?  i used to use john frieda sun streaks but it has been discontinued.  Does it actually lighten your hair as i cant find any reviews about it on the net

Hi, I have a friend with natural dark/medium blonde hair and she uses this along with the shampoo/conditioner. She had to use it 3 or 4 times before she noticed any difference but she does seem to have a nice golden shine to her hair now. Apparently it works best if you activate it with heat.
