Amazon Prices.......

Is it just me, but recently I've browsed Amazon for items I want...usually comparing offers....only to have the one I choose suddenly go up in price..
Tonight it was mascara...not a high price item...but I found what I wanted for £7.50...went away for a bit...came back-clicked the colour I want........and it's now £8.98...arrgghh!

Hi Pasta,

I think you are right. I've thought the same the last few weeks. I've been buying a few new tools lately and last week I bought a Stanley socket set in a tool store on a local trading estate for £49.99. I checked on Amazon tonight and the same set was £71. That's quite a difference - especially bearing in mind the shop has more overheads. I have also looked at spanner sets tonight and they are so expensive I'm planning to look in the same tool store tomorrow.

Play.com does this a lot. It states on one page a lowish price, as soon as you click on the actual item title it comes up with a much higher price.

I'm wondering if it's like airline prices. Supposedly-the more 'popular' a fare is,or the more viewings it gets....the price goes up. Sneaky,really.

I use Play.com a lot and have never experienced that.

Haven't used Amazon for a while.

It can work the other way - the price drops a while after you buy something.

I've found that ebay sell makeup rather cheaply all brand new.. I got a Maybelline 16hour stay lip gloss that normall sells for around £8 int he shops for £2.75 with free pnp. Maybe worth having a look on there hun.
