I think I've finally re-gained the knack! :)

Used to crochet years ago but had been struggling to get back into it. Bought a book today and managed to do a chain, link it and double crochet out of it.

I need to get some more suitable thread though as I find wool more tricky.

Has anyone got any nice easy crochet pattern ideas? I knit for the local premature baby unit so maybe simple little hats for that would be good.

Eve, there are loads of free patterns on the internet (both for crochet and knitting) - have a google!
Hi Eve
I doubt you'll ever find a better source of patterns than Ravelry, an online community of crafters that's free to join. There are literally thousands of patterns, easily searchable and many of them are free. Lovely friendly people too. Go have a look - you'll love it.

And try crocheting with a nice cotton yarn, which is much smoother than wool and gives more stitch definition.

Happy hooking!
