Does anyone know if theres a website somewhere with lists of the whimsies and a little bit about them please? I found a few up my mums attic today, and one I've never heard of and was wondering how I'd find out more about them. I cant seem to find anything helpful on the net so all help greatfully recieved. Many Thanks xx

try this one, I haven't had a look at the site just found it whilst Googling so don't know if any info is going to be useful or not, but it's a start http://www.wade.co.uk/

Thanks for that Ethel - at least I know a bit of the background now.
The one I'm really intrigued about, thelewisgang, is a little monk/friar called Brother Bejamin. If your husband has any knowledge about it, or any collection that it would have been in, I'd love to hear from you please. Thanks
hello again Welshfox. My hubby has heard about this whimsie you are asking about. He has a Wade book which he will look at tomorrow & I will post back. hope this helps.
sorry for the delay in replying but here goes now. According to the Wade book, Brother Benjamin was made along with others by KP Foods in 1983 to promote sales of its potato crisps. They were obtained by collecting tokens. Its value is given as 10 but a dealer would probably only offer you a few pounds for it. do hope this helps with your enquiry.

Thank you so much for that - would never have thought of a crisp factory giving away ornaments! Now I know more about it, maybe I'll look out for the others to go with it. Thanks again and hope you have a fab time over the Christmas period x
