hi. iam not sure if this is the right place for my request.but i'll give it a go..someone in my family died recently and the post mortem document is in a different language(portuguese).would there be anyone out there who could possibly translate it for me into english.i can scan it in and email it.any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mike, with any legal document printed in a foreign language you should really get it translated professionally, otherwise it can lead to problems. There are plenty of professional companies on the internet, but take a tip - scan it in and make it into as few pages as possible before you send it off, because they often charge by the page.

our family doesnt have much money..the person who asked me this knows all the details about her relation dying and such..and all the legal processes are over.but she wants this as a personal thing

Oh, sorry Mike, I can't help you then. I don't know anyone who speaks Portuguese. Why don't you try posting your question on other sections - maybe travel, body & soul, or education - or even hobbies and interests. Someone, somewhere must be able to help. Good luck with it.

Mike, just one more thought. If you type 'free online translation' into google, you'll get several websites come up that will translate a limited number of words for you from various languages. It's not always spot on, but it will enable you to get the gist of what the document says.
