Holiday Inn, Salford Manchester
Hi!
Can anyone tell me if the Holiday inn in Salford Quays, Manchester is easily accesible to the Lowry? Is it very close walking distance and safe to be walking back from at about 10.30pm at night with kids?
We are going to a show and decided it may be best to stay in Manchester rather than have to drive back home.
I have never been to Manchester before and don't know the place at all.
Or if anyone can reccommend a place cheaper (or fairly cheap) or nearer to The Lowry to stay I would be very greatful :o)
Also posted in People & Places as wasn't sure which topic would be best! (sorry!)
Thank you :o)

The only other that I know in the area are the Copthorne and the Golden Tulip but probably both be a taxi. Couldn't say how safe it is to walk we normally park in mutli storey attached to the centre and come home. There are restaurants nearby and a cinema so probably a lot of people about. If you watch Corrie a lot of the scenes near water are shot in the Quays so that will give you some idea of what it looks like
I live in Salford. As with any city, it has good and bad areas. I dont think you need to have any worries about walking around The Quays. Also, as someone has already said, there should be lots of people around at 10.30 pm . I have never heard of any mishaps in that area. I think you will be impressed. I hope you enjoy your trip to Salford.
