What would be a good book to buy if you wanted to take up watch repairing also what shops could I go to buy the tools either on-line or in the north west?

I've seen one on e-Bay but it looked a bit old, ideally I'd like something that has a DVD to accompany it.
Truth be known I like to walk into shops and look at what I'm getting (with books I get a feel a vibe if you like) similarly I'd like to find a shop for tools that I could walk into and get little bits of advice etc.

everton, if you put 'Horology' in to the dvd section of ebay, I'm sure something came up last time I looked! Alternatively, phone your local Waterstones & ask if they stock anything in dvd on the subject! xxx

Clock and watch repairing isn't just a matter of reading a book or two. At the least, it's the subject of a Higher National Diploma course. You might be interested in this.

Thanks Heathfield, you know I'm only taking it up as a hobby I'm not about to try and put messrs Cartier and Breitling to shame.
