I have fabric from the about the 1930's in a mid green. I love this colour but it seem impossible to find nowdays. Why is this?

Just fashion I suppose.
The lack of green is being forced upon us. Greens seem to be ignored by every manufacturer these days, especially the darker colours. Just have a look at the colours of towels and bedlinen displayed in stores. And whilst various dark green wrapping papers were still obtainable last Christmas, nobody in our area has stocked the matching gift tags for the past two years!
I can only conclude that all this is because although blue-green is a traditionally popular colour in China, full green isn't!!
If you want to match this colour why not contact Dylon. Their customer services dept will help you to find the colour dye so that you can buy a white fabric and colour it yourself.

I think I know that 30's green, it's one of the best shades!
I've tried mixing Dylon colours and often to the desired effect - try a patch test first though and good luck.
