Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but perhaps someone would know if a lot of old 'copper' coins have any value? There are about 200 George V pennies, 28 Edward VII pennies and 6 Victoria pennies. Also some odds and sods of Georgian farthings and a few dozen of the old bronze octagonal threepenny bits. All the former property of my late brother-in-law. I'd be glad of any advice, thanks
Hello Squarebear, sorry for the delay - they are not by any means 'mint' or 'fine', just coins that look as if they've been in normal use for their useful life. One chap I spoke to thought they had a scrap value of about 50 pence each, another 'expert' said that wasn't true; none of the dates seem significant or particularly rare.
