The best palindromic sentence I've ever seen (they are notoriously hard to compose) was about John Findlay Wallace, one of the principal engineers of the Panama Canal. It was 'A man, a plan, a canal. Panama!'

I like "Norma is as selfless as I am, Ron." (25 letters) That one has the inestimable advantage of being in standard English and it makes perfect sense. (As a matter of interest, it came from a brief trawl through those on the website-link provided above.)

Sorry, the link does not work, but - unlike yesterday, when I had similar problems - at least the whole URL is visible, so I imagine you can highlight it and get to the site that way. I'm just going to leave it at that this time!
