finding dead sisters birth certificate place of buriel/cremation

I was a twin at birth but i was told my sister only survived a few days.
Anyhow for various reasons i was adopted by my uncle and aunt as my birth mother couldnt look after me.
I did have contact with my birth mother of sorts but she never spoke of my twin. My birth mother is now dead. I only have my adoption certificate so i dont even know what hospital i was born in. My birth family dont have any information.
I really would like to find a copy of my sisters birth cerificate/ death certificate and know where she may of been buired / cremated.
I only know her name as Tracy and her date of birth any tips ?.

This might seem a bit strange or 'left field', booty, but have you tried The Salvation Army? Apparently they have staff who help people like yourself to find long lost relatives etc. Look them up in your local yellow pages and give them a call - might be a long shot but that's a long shot more than you've got at the moment. Bear this in mind, you and your twin would (probably) have been registered at the same time.
If you know where, contact them directly, by telephone and giving *your* details ought to be enough for them to find hers.

Thanks for the help. A very nice lady looked on line, and says there is no birth certificate for my sister and, in her opinion was most she was most probably still born. Both parents need to be dead in order for me to obtain a copy. Birth mother has passed on birth dad is alive but we have no contact, so i guess i wont find out till he passes on .

Due to the sensitive nature of stillbirth registrations, only the mother or father of the child is able to apply for a certificate. The parent must be named on the birth certificate to do this. Should the parents be deceased, a brother or sister can apply if they can provide their parents’ dates of death.

If the birth was a still birth it will be registered as such. But only the birth mother or father can obtain a copy. A sibling can obtain a copy if the birth mother and father have died. Still births are not entered in the ordinary registers of births and deaths.

My mother died almost five years ago, birth father is alive but i do not have contact, and they both appeared on my birth certificate i am told

Hi there my Mum is dead now but I remember years ago her telling me that she had given birth to a still born baby years before I was born. She never mentioned it again, After she died I wrote to the local undertaker that buried my parents and they gave me information where the baby was buried, The baby was buried near to where we lived. The undertakers were very helpful and found out all the information for me.

Craft 1948, you seem to know a little about this kinda thing. I,m having problems finding out who my birth parents were. All I have is an adoption certificate with my birth mother's name. Trying to find documentation before my adoption is pretty hard. Do you have any suggestions.
