Employement law
I have been told I will have to accept a company car and will have to take a salary cut to pay for it, my boss said that we had a car allowance built into our salaries but this is the first we have heard of it as it is not in our contract of employement. we previously benefited from 45p per mile on expenses and used our own vehicles to attend business appointments but had to have business insurance.
45p per mile will now reduce to 12p along with 3k per year deducted from our pay, are they able to do this?

On the other hand, you will no longer have to pay for maintenance, car tax, insurance, repairs etc - make sure that the company is insuring your car on a fleet policy. They can't change your contract without telling you, but if it's more economical for them to provide you with a fleet car, then I can see why they might want to.
