I have been offered a 6 month contract job after a successful interview. The start date is on the 1st sep. I have been signing on and next week is my signing day which will be my last before going into work.

Would I be able to get any help with money or any other means of benefit until I get my first pay which would be end of Sep?

Other workers have turned against me.

Yes I will ask, but I just thought people might have some idea if help is available before getting first pay.

I have heard this mentioned before. I assume you have to ask because it was never offered to me when I came off JSA and had to wait a month to get paid.
Do DWP offer a loan or a payment?
