He use to be in a program called Stig of the dump and as he evolved he got a drivers license they never show his face as he still looks like an ape. Hope this helps 

it was originally ex racing driver perry mccarthy who was got rid off apparantly for thrahing a classic jag d -type
the new one is apparantly a racing driver called ben collins
if it was tiff needell(and it isnt) he would give his identity away by exclaiming in enjoyment "power,power,power,whooaaaaah"

We debated this and thought it would be some rally driver champ or another, my BF thought it was Nigel Mansell but i can't really believe that.......

Who is the Stig ?

It is actually more than one person - hence the disguise. A neat trick to prevent the Beeb having to contract one expensive Racing Driver. Yes, it has been Perry McCarthy, but has also been at least two others. I've witnessed them close-up and the giveaway is that their heights vary.
