good haunted house type experience...?

im looking for some sort of spooky, haunted house type experience.

can anyone recommend anything?
i dont want something with people dressed up jumping out on you... i mean something a bit more serious...like a proper ghost hunt experience

maybe an overnight stay or something

preferably in the northwest.

cheers...im in liverpool... they do them here at the 'haunted liverpool ghost walks tours' but looking at the photos they look a bit of a pantomime...people dressed up as scooby do characters and wearing badly done makeup...
i want something a bit more spooky than an actor going 'wooohhooo' hehe

something maybe like they do on most haunted.. you know seances, recordings, nightvision etc

joko, Im sure there will be a few hotels that offer a paranormal evening, but a true one with seances etc may be less entertaining, which is why many have people dressed up etc. If youre looking for a true investigation night then be prepared for what could be a very quiet evening.

I used to live in a severely 'haunted' house. Never thought to open it to the public. Drat! A missed opportunity. :o)
