He knew id most likely otherwise end up sitting in a park drinking cheap cider and causing trouble. I proved that i could be trusted to go out in town and it was a happy arrangement. He would come and pick us up if he wasnt still working. I got bored of it by my early 20's.
Nox, settle down!! >>Because going to the pub shouldn't automatically equate to getting lashed and having fights, you can go to nice pubs and learn how to be sociable and listen to live music etc, I don't have a problem with that either.<<
I frequently go to the pub for a social drink with my other half and the dogs, I havent seen a fight in a pub for many years and rarely see drunks in the pubs we frequent. I just dont see the need to "encourage" it.

Ratter..my mum and dad are "going out people" and have always encouraged me to get done up and go out!
I find it strange when some of my friends parents moan that they are never in and always out with pals or clubbing or have a new outfit...
My mum and dad have always always wanted me to go out have fun dress nice and just let them know im safe!!! Theyd rather lend me money to go out than i stayed in xx
