I was allowed to go to unders discos at 12....but was attending the over 18s by 16!!!! :0/

It may not have done you any harm but it didnt do you any good either, I see no harm in the under age clubs, they need to be kept an eye on though, they still get up to all sorts of stuff :)

I started going out in town when i was 16 and actively encouraged to by my Dad. He knew id most likely otherwise end up sitting in a park drinking cheap cider and causing trouble. I proved that i could be trusted to go out in town and it was a happy arrangement. He would come and pick us up if he wasnt still working. I got bored of it by my early 20's.

didnt go clubbing till about 17, more of a pub girl from about 15 :-)

I was at the pub every day from the age of 12. But then i did live in it :)

My 13 year old daughter goes out with her older step sisters in Germany, I dont mind tbh because she's sensible, they're sensible and I trust her to not drink and get in a state, and I don't think she'll let me down on that.

Because going to the pub shouldn't automatically equate to getting lashed and having fights, you can go to nice pubs and learn how to be sociable and listen to live music etc, I don't have a problem with that either.

I was brought up in a pub. I was going to the nightclub over the road from about the age of 14. The rule was that I didn't drink....so I didn't drink.

There was always loads of us!!
Not to get in a state...admitedly i probobly took more than they would have been happy with...but yep i was obviously given money to go out, and dropped there etc x

Yeah we used to put money in the jukebox or listen to karaoke- and the lub used to let us bring chips in from the chippy or the indian!!! We always took over the place there was loads of us xx

I frequently go to the pub for a social drink with my other half and the dogs, I havent seen a fight in a pub for many years and rarely see drunks in the pubs we frequent. I just dont see the need to "encourage" it.

Ratter..my mum and dad are "going out people" and have always encouraged me to get done up and go out!

I find it strange when some of my friends parents moan that they are never in and always out with pals or clubbing or have a new outfit...

My mum and dad have always always wanted me to go out have fun dress nice and just let them know im safe!!! Theyd rather lend me money to go out than i stayed in xx

I was clubbing from age 14 in adult night clubs. I was never asked for I.D. and could never afford to get drunk, I just used to like the atmosphere, music and dancing.

I did drink daffy....but not to excess where i didnt know what i was doing..

Nox, I was just a little surprised at your assumption that I should see pubs this way, I have never lived in a city or a town where pubs are like I have always lived in villages that have quiet. relaxed pubs to drink.

I thought I just asked a very simple inoffensive question.
