Yes, the Queen is a good one, as she has been one of the few famous people photographed all through the progressions of photography over many decades - what I mean is, she started being photographed when comparatively few people had a camera, right up to now when lots of people take photos on mobiles, AND she's been similarly treated in many countries of the world.. ..AND often photographed many times over by the same people on every occasion they have seen her during her/their lives....that's apart from the official and paparazzi news photos. Then there's the newsreel films, the videos .... !!! Other people I can think of were photographed a lot for a shorter time and often the same photos of them were used over and over. Also ordinary people wouldn't have had access however long they had lived. The Queen appears in many photos taken of other people- her family, visiting dignatatories, etc. wellhungjock has got it I think.
I see what you mean by the queen. however while the press and papparazzi make take many pictures per second of these celebreties, they develop very few of them into actual photographs printed on paper. I would reckon of a 100 shots only 2-3 make it on to paper. However if they were taken by the general public then a vast majority would be actually developed into a full fledged photo. So while we may see the flaslight popping all around the Blairs and the Tom cruises....little of it makes it on to tangible pictures. So by this reckoning, the queen will still rank very high among the list but i would like to consider others who are likely to be photographed more by the public.
