Psychometric testing

What are employers looking for when they give you this test?. Is there a web site i can got to to take a test for free and get it analysed?

Someone I know who works for a company who uses this says you just have to be honest with the personality-type questions. Apparantly they put in questions that are designed to catch you out if you aren't being honest. I work in a library and there are loads of books on this which includes sample tests etc. Why don't you try your local library?

Psychometric tests can include personality, intelligences amongst other things, but sometimes its just to check that you're actually suited to the job.  Many do have built in lie detector questions too, so it's best to be honest.  You could try looking at these sites for a bit of background (can't tell I'm a psychology student can ya?!) http://www.psychometricadvantage.co.uk/ and http://www.psychometrics.co.uk/test.htm Good Luck!

Actually these ones allow you to do a psychometric test online: http://www.peoplemaps.co.uk/personality/questionnaire1.html and http://www.vnunet.com/features/1154717 but I can't comment on how reliable/valid they are!  Might be worth a look!

Generally employers analyze your skills and mental ability and capability of learning a new thing in this test. You can take help from any company who provide services for psychometric testing. In that company you can learn that how to pass a test.
