It'll be my 18th birthday in december (ages away, I know) and people keep asking me what I'm gonna do for my birthday, but I dunno what I should do. what should I do?? I don't like clubbing/drinking and don't want a party. My birthday is on a sunday so may limit things somewhat.....
any ideas greatly appreciated =)

If it's not your 18th until December then it's good to hear you're not into drinking.

Go for a picnic, or a meal, or do nothing at all, and tell them all to go away.

This may seem a silly question, but if do none of your friends have a birthday before yours? Shift the attention onto them.

tomd, what a pessimistic answer! An 18th birthday is the perfect excuse to do something exciting, that you wouldnt even consider doing on other birthdays. funkychicken, seeing as you are considering it so far in advance, you could possibly go on a weekend away with a couple of friends. Instead of buying you a gift, you could agree that they pay their way, and split your ticket cost. You could go to Paris, Prague, Rome - all really cheap weekend breaks. Remember, you are only 18 once!!!
What about a fun day out with your friends or family to a theme park?
What about a weekend away in Butlins... always a laugh with the girlie friends.  I went when I was 18, it was cheap, cheerful and we laughed the whole weekend.

I'm going with the weekend away thing, I think it's a fab idea.  Butlins, Haven, Pontins are all brilliant fun, as are Blackpool, Great Yarmouth, Bournemouth, Bristol, Swansea, Cardiff and Birmingham (I'm sure there's lots of other places but just thinking of the ones I've done).

You could go to London to see a show, or are any of your favourite bands/ singers touring?

Also, as your birthday is near Christmas I should imagine that there will be lots of events going ahead!

enjoy them now! i just turned 25 on the 2nd. my mother in law reminded me i was a 1/4 of a century old! it flyes by! on my 18 i went out to dinner with my boyfriend.  try something small with your friends. like a movie or something.

As it's your special day, aim to do whatever YOU want to do, don't be pressurised by your mates.

To make the day memorable, how about doing something totally different like white water rafting/a parachute jump/hot air balloon ride?

Climb a mountain!
