Hi there is a film, to be shown in the week Helter Skelter.  Its not the original.  I know the Helter Skelter is a Beatles track, and the film is about Charles Manson, but was is the significance of the name Helter Skelter? cheers

I understand that when the Manson Gang raided a house in Hollywood where Sharon Tait was slain, one of the sickos wrote all kinds of stuff on the walls, including "Helter Skelter".

have just watched the film and I dont know the beatles song but charles manson referred to helter skelter as a war between blacks and whites so maybe there is a reference in the song to it.

here are the Beatles lyrics, from the White Album, which Manson was fascinated with. Nothing obvious in them to prompt mass murder, but apparently he saw the lines 'she's coming down fast yes she is' as portending imminent racial warfare.
