Where is the best place to stay in Majorca or menorca?

Hi. We are looking to holiday in either Majorca or menorca but dont know which one.

We need a family resort with a nice hotel suitable for young children (2 & 4). Good children's pool with slide or slides and entertainment in evening ie kids disco would be great. Also walking distance to a safe sandy beach. (by safe I mean stays shallow for quite a way out). Just come back for fig tree beach in Cyprus which was fantastic for kids...

Don't mind hotel room if all inclusive, but would prefer a 1 or 2 bed apartment. Aparthotel.

Would appreciate any suggestions..

Hi Charlie,we stayed at Cala Galdana resort in Menorca its at the top of this small island on the west.It is a beautiful small horseshoe shaped bay and the rocks on the sides of the bay are all lit up at night,we stayed in a villa at the top of the bay but thier is an hotel in the middle of the bay with a lft down to the beach.The view from this hotel is stunning but I cant remember the name of it.

Arenal D’en Castell on the north-east of Menorca - a wonderful safe sandy cove, with several hotels/apartment facilities.
