IT SEEMS that you cannot open a newspaper today without seeing stories and pictures of David Beckham and Posh Spice splashed all over the place. Do the editors ever stop to wonder if anyone is actually interested in the mundane comings and goings of these overpaid and underworked, self-important idiots who seem to be famous simply for being famous? The space could be put to much better use with more stories about the Royal family.

I have yet to find the secret of why people such as Nancy del Olio (or whatever, and various other people have become famous for being nobody. The papers say that their appearance sells column inches, but Nancy riles me.

I like to see the Beckhams. They are a welcome relief from the doom and gloom we read about daily. I also think it was a dirty trick to not include David in the Olympic football team after he'd flogged himself to death being an ambassador for our country.
I don't know if you are being facetious about the Royal Family so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say I don't mind seeing them too.

The spice girls had to work damn hard to climb the ladder and certainly didn't get to the top on the back of some other entertainer. David Beckham is one of the footballing greats and also does a lot more than just play football. Can we be sure where the O.Games would be held now, without him?
Their everyday life is not of much interest to me either but it sells papers and is what being famous is all about.
They are still a devoted couple with lovely kids. more than can be said for many other so-called celebrities.

As for the Royal family... If one can ignore the hypocrisy, they are an asset to the UK as ambassadors and good for the country's moral.

What a funny point of view - "overpaid and underworked, self-important idiots" well that sounds like the Royal family if you ask me.

As for the Beckhams they are ordinary people (not born with a silver spoon in their mouths) who have worked damn hard to get where they are today.
