Which airline flying to which airport would you recommend as providing the least hassle on journeys between Dublin/Belfast and London and return?

I would choose the airline that departs from and arrives at the airport most convenient for me and offers the best deal for money.

That is a very broad scope you have described without any personal parameters.
Avoid Heathrow like the plague. What about Dublin to London City airport with Cityjet. It would be more expensive than the cheapos but worth it. See link

Belfast into gat wick then gat wick express or Belfast international to Southend and train it in dead dimple and so cheap.
Aer Lingus is moving to Belfast City airport with flights to Gatwick from the end of October.
Definitely Dub to London City if you can afford it.
don't bother with the Gatwick Express, there's a Southeast Train to London Bridge that's half the price and a minute slower.
There are many travel sites which provide the airlines so visit to travel sites for best airlines.
You can never be so sure about a certain airlines company that doesn't encounter delays or problems when travelling, so I can't say which is the best. I always prefer someone who have the best deals I find online and use them.
