Under Hotel Safety, in this hotel's services guide, there are four headings : Fire, Severe Weather, During an Earthquake, After an Earthquake.

Right, this hotel is in Birmingham, England. Do Hyatt,UK, know something I don't?

Do you sometimes find that foreign companies are a bit out of touch with the countries they do business in ?

I think it's just health and safety gone mad.
You obviously didn't risk a visit to the Balti Quarter last night Fred - or you'd realise that earthquakes are all too possible in Brummagem ...
LOL @ dave, yeah keep out of Sparkbrook Fred.
yes in short.

But earthquakes occur, particularly in Leicestershire when the wendilla budgies are in their mating season
I remember about 30 years ago, my mum used to rent a telly from Radio Rentals. In amongst the small print on the back of the agreement was a disclaimer regarding the guaranteed call-out time should the set stop working. 'Acts of God and Nuclear Strikes are not covered under this guarantee'..I'm not sure that many people, regarding the latter, would be marching down to the rental shop, skin dragging behind them, to complain that they weren't able to watch Last of the Summer Wine.
Some very sensible instructions here
