I'm almost certain that the mobile phone story has been going round for some time...ie. it's not technically an April Fools' Day prank.
some good 'uns out there this year
Terribly un-funny one in the Guardian this morning, about some special gasses that you can buy. Apparently wearing them makes you see everything from a Guardian point of view. As a Guardian reader for nearly 40 years, I already have an enquiring mind, so I'm not sure why I would need anything to help me further.

I have heard that you can buy glasses where the blinkers have been removed, especially for Daily Mail and Telegraph readers though.

And here was me thinking that all Guardian readers went around permanently wearing rose tinted specs.

For me, the best ones have to be at least slightly believable. The kind of story that you might actually say, "Well I never!", before coming to your senses (the spaghetti harvest from years ago springs to mind).

I have to admit - there was one story this year that almost got me.
well, bless her, the jodie marsh story was pretty credible
There's a BMW ad in today's Telegraph, "advertising" their new car which is a cross between a sort of smart car and a pram. Great image of this car, people interested in it are asked to contact "[email protected] (or something like that!). The mock up of this car is shown parked on a lawn to a big house, with two corgis on the lawn. Say no more. LOL. Chox.
Not certain this is an April Fools' joke, but I hope it is.
