Apple Mini I Pad - Finding Apple Id And Apple Password

Hello folks, I wonder if someone can help me re the above. I've completely forgotten our apple ID and password. I have been trying and trying to recover both these via the Apple online thingey, but no joy. It won't accept my date of birth and then won't accept the answers to the security questions either.
Can anyone help, please? I have found a UK helpline phone number,but suspect that might be for technical help with the Ipad itself, and not for passwords and ID recovery.

Any ideas would be immensely welcome ....

I called a 0800 number when this happened to me! They ask for your phone number then call you back from America! (on landline is best so you have phone to hand!) they reset your ID , password and security questions with yu as they send a "pin" number to you to identify yourself! (All clever stuff at apple)! X

not much point of having a password if it can just be found by anyone...

no offence but that it won't accept your birth date or security questions either, seems a bit suspicious

i'd phone the number, technical help includes access to the ipad, if you can prove you own it then they will help you

Go into SETTINGS then click on ITUNES & APP STORES.

You should see your apple id there.

The official method to bypass the activation lock without Apple ID or password is to contact the Apple Support team or go to the local Apple Store. If you can provide your receipt from Apple or the Apple-authorized retailer showing, the IMEI or serial number, or other relevant information, Apple will help you recover your Apple ID or bypass the activation lock within days. If it still fails, you'll need to remove activation lock. Otherwise, you couldn't access your iPad. Choose a reliable removal tool, such as Joyoshare Activation Unlocker or other tools.
