Is it true that the actor Oliver Reed had a party trick where he drank 99 pints, then he did 99 press ups?

well he probably darank something and did some pressups but 99 pints no way. The last I heard the most beer ever drunk in one "session" was 76 (some book about eating and drinking records). he may well have done 99 press ups but 99 pints would be fatal even 99 pints of water!

What about the story where Reed and 36 friends drank, in an evening, 60 gallons of beer, 32 bottles of Scotch, 17 bottles of gin, four crates of wine and one bottle of Babycham. is this again just urban legends or is there any truth in this?

I don't know about Reed, but in 2000, Chris Evans and three friends ran up a �32,000 bar tab in three days, whilst in Dubline for St.Patricks Day.
