No - really I do.

My desert island luxury would be a complete set of UK OS maps at 1:25000 - useless on the island, but hours and hours of pleasure exploring and remembering.

I'm right there with you, dave! I sometimes settle down with a 1-inch OS map, just as some would read a magazine. Don't buy me a satnav for Christmas, because I'd rather use a map!

I spend a bit of time on Bing Maps,
the 'Birds Eye View' is great, and using the arrows in top right corner
you can view places from about 45° vertically and spin them 360° around.
