Did we all see the photo in the newspaper today, of David Beckham seemingly playing footsie under the table with a female companion?  Definitely not with his wife, who was sitting next to him, but what excuse will he give her? Stretching his toes, and they got caught under someone's jeans?

Interesting picture, and he shouldn't have been doing it, but don't you think the media may just possibly have produced the last straw in this caracature of a marriage?

It maybe a trick. All you can see in the picture is someone wearing a pair of jeans, and another person's foot on the opposite side of the table. It could have been posed and the photo placed right under a photo of Mr. & Mrs. Beckham at a restaurant with another couple. - just a wind up to sell newspapers.

I agree with Dark Angel. Build them up, knock them down.The media aren't happy unless theyr'e interferring with someones life.

it would be funny if it was a set up and she told him to do it just to get the publicity.

The Daily Star today apologised to the Crystal Palace footballer Andy Johnson for falsely implying he was involved in drug and alcohol abuse...

A former Big Brother contestant has won a high court apology from Richard Desmond's Northern & Shell [he's the Daily Express owner] over false claims that he had been sacked from a job with a phone retailer for groping colleagues...

The Sun has apologised and agreed to pay "substantial" libel damages to Cameron Diaz over false allegations published on its front page that she had a "three-minute snog" with a married man.

Those from the Guardian website yesterday. So don't believe everything the UK press says about celebrities. They have also been known to doctor photos (as I remember, the Sun once ran one showing Prince Andrew ogling girls on the beach... by cutting out the 20 feet of space between them).

Well said jno!  If it was a video of them playing foosty that might be a bit more compelling - but a split second photo!?!  Oh please!!!
