I visited Cork for the first time earlier this year and found that everyone there was very welcoming.

Also people from Sorrento in Italy

I watched something on the TV the other day about the 10 worst places and 10 best places to live. One of the 10 worst places was Merthyr Tydfil!! I think the second worst place was Nottingham.

As for the friendliest - would definitely agree with Dublin. Everyone is so pleased to help and warm with it.

WAIGLET - you're not wrong - we went to Sorrento for our honeymoon in 2003 and the people there are lovely!

Definately Liverpool. I live just outside the center and after visiting London, Birmingham, Cork, Preston, Manchester and lots of other cities, I don't think you can beat my local for the great atmosphere and good humour of us scousers. Liverpool specially great on the weekend, you're always bound to get a great night there (helped along by the irish who are also mega friendly)

 

Abroad Noja in Northern Spain is the friendliest place i've been - you can't match the culture and tradition in old Spain
