School History Lesson - America
After teaching her class about American History over a few weeks the teacher decides to test her class knowledge to see how much they remember about the subject.
“Who can tell me what’s so important about 1776?” she asks the class.
After about 10 seconds, nobody puts up their hand to answer the question.
“In 1776 on the 4th of July that’s when they signed the Declaration of Independence.” she tell the class. “You should know that.” she adds.
“Who can tell me the year that George Washington became the First President?” she asks the class.
After about 10 seconds, nobody puts up their hand to answer the question.
“In 1789, George Washington became the First President of America.” she tells the class. “You should know that.” she adds.
“Who can tell me what event in 1941 led to America joining the Second World War?” she asks the class.
After about 10 seconds, nobody puts up their hand to answer the question.
“In 1941, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbour Naval Bases which led America too join the Second World War to seek revenge.” she tells the class. “You should know that, we’ve covered that.” she adds, rather miffed.
“Who can tell me what major event happened in 1972?” she asks the class.
After about 10 seconds, still nobody puts up their hand to answer that question.
“FOR GOODNESS SAKE” she shouts.
“In 1972, a crack commando unit were sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground.Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if know one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire: The A-TEAM...” she tells the class.
