Can it be in the least fair to the peoples of this country to see the spending on our NHS capped and in some cases spending reduced and staff made redundant and yet Cameron thinks it perfectly all right to increase the already £200million of aid to Nigeria last year to almost £270million this year, a massive 35% increase in only one year.

On LBC radio this morning he defended his actions by saying that it will help to build their schools, and improve the living conditions for the people, and if this can be achieved the people of Nigeria will be less likely to come to this country in search of a better living.

Is this guy living on the same planet as the rest of us? Here we see a country that should be one of the richest in the world since it is ranked as the largest oil producer in Africa and the 11th largest in the world, and yet it needs our ever increasing aid.

It certainly does beggar belief.

It's simple. close the borders properly and send people that break the immigration laws home.

Oh, I forgot we will need to be out of the HRA so we are no longer accountable to the European CHR.

And to top it all, the Nigerian Government ministers then travel over here, in their Saville Row suits, staying at the likes of The Dorchester, "crying poverty" !
The Overseas Aid payments made to countries such as Nigeria (and many more besides) are an absolute insult to UK taxpayers.

It may well help build their schools (though this is highly unlikely) but there are areas in this country where there are simply not enough school places (due in large part to uncontrolled immigration) and where parents are having to shunt their children all over the place because there are no places in their nearest school.

Whilst this is going on Messrs Cameron and Clegg are busy building their credentials for their next career (after they have been booted out of office here) by writing cheques for all and sundry.

I would gladly agree to an Overseas Aid (sorry, they call it ""Development" now - a misnomer if ever there was one) budget - so long as I pay no income tax, National Insurance, VAT, Council Tax or any other levies made by the state. Only when we have provided everything that UK citizens need and we have money left over should we sqaunder it on African hell-holes. And even then I can think of better ways to spend spare cash.
