& curtseying. I know this has been happening for years & years & it's all steeped in history, but it really niggles me in these modern times. Could you see yourself having so much deference? Why should someone bow/curtsey to another human being? http:// www.dai lymail. co.uk/n ews/art icle-26 31457/S o-thats -call-c urtsey- car-Aut umn-Phi llips-k neels-d river-R oyal-Ra nge-Rov er-maki ng-merr y-gorge ous-gir ls.html ?ITO=14 90& ns_mcha nnel=rs s&n s_campa ign=149 0

.um.... I think it is like a kid sticking his fingers into a plug....
if you dont want a shock, dont do it - but of course it is a free country
so that if you doan wanna curtsye to the queen dont go there.
but if you are in the queue, there 's a whole bit you have to cope with - she in tiara, red carpet, cucumber sarndwiches
But in the long term I agree protocol must change - one of the first things George V did was scrap levees.
and the first thing Edw VII did was to give orders that John Browns room was to be emptied and the furniture burnt.
