Moving The Goalposts Weatherwise

Isn't it infuriating - at the end of the week the weather forecasters were predicting a return to Summer this coming week starting Monday.

On the strength of this we have booked 4 days away in the caravan starting tomorrow. Now on tonight's forecast they admit it will be foggy and wet tomorrow and Tuesday cloudy all day - not hopeful of much nice weather until at least Wednesday! How long before that is changed again to be starting from Friday - the day we come home?!!!

I don't understand how we can be so unfortunate with our holiday weather! :(

Good luck Ann, its odd because I have the hour by hour weather app on my phone and it can change wildly so quickly! How is that when the MET office can often confidently predict FIVE days in advance!!!!

I was once sat next to a gentleman from Phoenix, Arizona on a flight from Dublin to Atlanta. He said that for 365 days a year at home he had blue skies. So much that he got so sick and tired of endless blue skies that he came to Dublin every Christmas to absorb the weather (and a drop or two of Guinness). Well when in Rome......

They predicted sunny weather, now rainy weather....they are unreliable, you'll prob get a bit of both.

Unfortunately predicting the weather is not an exact science.

I happen to think they got it correct more often years ago, rather than using all this modern technology of today!

Yes Canary, I have two huge fir cones hanging up outside which are jolly well more accurate!

Thanks Mazie, we are only going a few miles down the road :) but will be a little break and get me away from the phone ...... and the housework ...... and clearing my Mum's house out after she died 3 months ago.
Caravan park is so peaceful, with 7 fishing lakes to walk round (but not to fish!)
