Bmth Footie On The Chase

I was flabbergasted on the Chase tonight at the question which football team's home ground is the Goldsands Stadium. The answer was Bournemouth. I have spent nearly all my life living near or staying connected with Bournemouth and I have never ever heard their ground referred to as anything other than Dean Court. Anyone else would have known this as the correct answer?

As they pointed out, Prudie, West Ham play at the Boleyn Ground but no-one uses that name. everyone knows that the Hammers ply their trade at Upton Park. I'm sure there must be more.

Of course it is Dean Park and it still has 3 sides :-/ and Castlepoint in all its hideousness will always be Woolco to those of us in the know. In the case of football its just a sponsorship thing, someone gives you a wad of cash to rebuild your stadium and you have to rename it, but we natives will always know the truth. Up the cherries !
