Yesterday morning my dear mama rather randomly texted me to,say that the film Gunga Din was on TV. I've no particular interest in this film or Cary Grant. I'm not a big film fan generally.
Bear with me....
Mrs Zacs and myself are planning a west coast of America trip and have decided to stay in Lone Pine for,one night on or way between Las Vegas and Yosemite. I was doing a bit of research on Wiki only to find that of the many movies filmed there one of them was.......Gunga Din!
She went to Llandudno on Thursday for,the first time in about twenty years and then it was on Countryfile. Also was looking at some old holiday videos this afternoon and saw someone she hasn't spoken to for 18 months and they phoned about an hour later.
in my younger days when cinemas traditionally showed an old film on a Sunday , by going to a different cinema each week I must have seen Gunga Din the water boy about about 3 to 4 times !
Poor old Gunga fetching water to soldiers in battle without a thought for his own life and of course eventually the obvious happened to the poor chap !
